Certified 100% Pure Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee

This Jablum Coffee is imported directly from Jamaica from the leaders in Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffees. This is 100% pure roasted and packaged under the supervision of the Jamaica Coffee Industry Board.

The Coffee Industry Board, a quasi government body located in Kingston (The capital of Jamaica) overseas the Island's coffee industry. It regulates which companies meet the stringent standards required before a company can promote its product as Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. There are only four pulperies in Jamaica that are allowed to buy cherries and process them as Blue Mountain Coffee and Jablum is one of the largest.

Today, significant improvement in processing and the application of rigid quality control by the Jamaica Coffee Industry Board ensure that only the best beans are offered to discerning consumers of Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. Volcanica Coffee only imports 100% certified Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee direct from the island.

To be called Blue Mountain Coffee, it must be grown at altitudes between 2,000 and 5,000 feet in the Parishes of Portland, St. Andrew and St. Thomas and, most importantly, be grown on the estates of; Mavis Bank, Silver Hill, Moy Hall or Wallenford. Coffee grown in other areas in the Blue Mountains or anywhere else in Jamaica cannot be called “Blue Mountain Coffee." If you find a Jamaican coffee labeled with the word “blend” next to the Blue Mountain Coffee name this is not 100% pure. Others varieties are hard to detect and are simply frauds labeling themselves as 100% pure or as a "Blue Mountain Style" coffee that has the taste characteristics of Blue Mountain, but may not contain a single bean of actual Blue Mountain. You are guaranteed that this Jablum Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee is 100% authentic and is imported directly from Jablum.

The Coffee Industry Board is the only body allowed to export Blue Mountain Coffee; it purchases beans and exports them on behalf of all the farmers and factories. The Board also regulates which growing areas can qualify as Blue Mountain Coffee. This limits the growing acreage to 15,000 acres, all of which are above 2,000 - 5,000 feet above sea level. Coffees grown outside these areas are called "Low Land" or "High Mountain" coffee. In order to preserve the quality and reputation of the Blue Mountain Coffee label, the Coffee Industry Board must make regular inspections of the factories and facilities.
